Elect Krista Weaver to Hopewell Borough Council
A little bit about me
I am a community organizer, volunteer and mother who is committed to making common-sense improvements to our great community. I moved to Hopewell in 2018 to start my family. After a career in the service and fitness industries stretching back two decades, I have focused on raising my two children, ages 3 and 1, and giving back to my community for the last few years. I am the chairperson of Hopewell's Pedestrian, Bike and Safety Advisory Committee and I have been active in organizing grassroots community initiatives to take on traffic safety issues for years.
I'm a Mercer County native who knows how lucky we are to enjoy the many bounties of this community, its art, agriculture, opportunity and the rich benefits it offers our children through schools, parks and other activities. But I also live its challenges and I'm committed to practical solutions to issues like traffic, housing and government access. When I'm not chasing my children around or working to make our streets safer, I enjoy organic gardening, jogging around town, spending time with my cats, brewing kombucha and working on the restoration of my c. 1883 Hopewell home.
